By 2077, the corporation is not experimenting with one invention. It has built an engram economy.

Security is the product language

Arasaka's public identity is built around discipline, protection and control. That language maps perfectly onto Mikoshi.

The corporation does not need to claim that it owns a client's personhood. It only needs to own the systems required to keep the construct available.

The result is a form of dependency more complete than a normal account or subscription. If the thing inside the vault believes it is you, then access control becomes existential.
